Diving for bullion coins
It was already quite late. I could hear my friend calling me from the boat. I knew we had little time to get into the boat, sail to the bay and get to the hotel. The sun was setting and soon scuba diving would become quite dangerous. But I could not stop at this moment. I had noticed something glittering at the bottom. My eyes and ears hurt, the pressure was unbearable, but I kept going down. Finally I reached the bottom and saw some gold bullion lying there, partially buried in the sand. They looked old, although of course I was not able to tell how old they really were. I could not breathe properly. I was running out of oxygen. I took the coins and changed the direction. I was going up but I could not see sunlight anymore. Sunsets can really last just a few minutes. I saw my friend"s hand. I grabbed it and managed to pull myself into the boat. I showed her the bullion coins. She examined them in silence. Then we put them in a bag and sailed to the bay. At the hotel, we looked at the coins again. They were old French coins from the sixteenth century. There were seven of them. We did not know what to do with them, but we decided not to tell anyone about our discovery. We put them in the small bag again. Then we hid the bag the drawer. We would decide what to do later.
