After I had chosen the cot bed that I liked most, I asked the shop assistant to remove the cot mattress from the bed. I wanted to look at it more closely and see if it was really suitable for a baby. I know that nowadays it is highly impossible to buy anything that would not be safe for a child, but I think that you should always check the properties by yourself or ask for all necessary details if you are buying stuff online. So I asked her to show me to cot mattress. It was a foam mattress. Both sprung and foam mattresses are ok, so I was not worried about it. And to tell you the truth, the foam mattress was a bit cheaper, so it was even better for me. The mattress was firm enough and the surface was even so that the child"s body would not sink into it. The surface was quite comfortable, too. I wasn"t sure what it was made of, but I knew that it was some sort of fabric that was easy to clean. I finally put the cot mattress into the bed again and decided to buy the bed. They packed it in a huge cardboard box and then I put it in my car. I had to buy lots of other things. Toys, clothes, a baby bath. Of course, I finally ordered some of those items online. It"s difficult to get everything at once, especially if you want to buy quality baby accessories.
